Acting CEO of BPA, Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam, Engages Staff at Bui Generating Station (BGS)

On February 25, 2025, Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam, the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bui Power Authority (BPA), held an engagement session with the staff at the Bui Generating Station (BGS), situated between the Bono and Savannah Regions of Ghana.

The objective of this engagement was to familiarize Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam with the BGS staff, to receive briefings on the plant’s operations, and to offer him a chance to acquire insights into the workings of BPA.

Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam joins the Authority with extensive experience and dedication in the energy sector. In his address, he articulated his vision for BPA, emphasizing innovation, operational excellence, and a commitment to sustainable energy solutions. “Our collective success depends on embracing innovation and maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence,” he stated. He encouraged open communication and collaboration across all departments, emphasizing the importance of each team member’s role in achieving the Authority’s strategic objectives.

The durbar provided an interactive platform for staff to engage directly with the new CEO, discussing opportunities for growth and addressing operational challenges.

The acting CEO of BPA was accompanied by the newly appointed deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Engineering Operations and Technical, Ing. Samuel Nimako, as well as some directors and managers of the Authority.
