BPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS INAUGURATED

The Energy Minister, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh today, inaugurated a new governing board for the Bui Power Authority at a short ceremony at the Ministry’s conference room.

The Seven Member Board which is being chaired by Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh (MP, Sunyani East), has as members, Hon. Samuel Kofi Dzamesi (Chief Executive Officer of the Bui Power Authority), Hon. Salifu Sa-Eed, Nana Ama Tima Boakye, Hon. Paul Twum-Barimah, Dr. Mrs. Rebecca Acquah-Arhin and Mr. Kwame Appia Kyei.

Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh noted that the operations of the Bui Power Authority forms part of the huge security backbone of Ghana’s power generating system. He therefore charged the new board to utilize effectively and efficiently the resources of the Authority including the Black Volta to inure to the benefit of all Ghanaians.

In his acceptance speech, the Board Chairman, Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh (MP, Sunyani East), thanked His Excellency the President, for the confidence reposed in them by appointing them as board members of the Bui Power Authority. He said the new board is aware of the work of their predecessors and assured the Energy Minister that they will work even harder to make BPA better.
