BPA CEO tours TGS and Commissions Mechanised Borehole.

On Monday April 11, 2022, a team of journalists was invited to accompany the CEO, Hon. Kofi Dzamesi on a tour of the Tsatsadu Generating Station.

The tour was also scheduled so as to coincide with the CEO’s courtesy call on the chiefs and elders of the Alavanyo area, as well as the commissioning of a mechanised borehole facility donated by BPA to the Alavanyo-Abehenease community, the location of the BPA Tsatsadu Generating Station.

The CEO and the BPA team called on the paramount chief of the Alavanyo traditional area Togbegah Tsedze Attakora VII as well as the chief of the Alavanyo-Abehenease community, Tobge Kunde IV. At the meeting Hon. Dzamesi pledged the continued support of BPA for the development of the community.

The team then proceeded to the Abehenease community to make a formal presentation of the Borehole facility. During the event, the CEO addressed the audience, emphasizing BPA’s recognition of the scarcity of clean water in the region. While acknowledging that the facility wouldn’t entirely resolve all the potable water challenges in the area, he highlighted its significant role in improving the situation for community members.

The gift was initially intended to be a hand pump borehole, but the CEO felt that a mechanised one will be a better fit for the community and thus approved the construction of the current facility.

He therefore urged the community to take good care of the facility and appealed to the chief to put together a supervision team to ensure its efficient use.

Before the tour of the TGS, the BPA team called on the resident father of the Foyer de Charite, Monsignor Gregory Daniels-Akata who expressed his gratitude to the CEO for the visit and hoped that the cordial relations shared between the two entities would continue.
