Together with the Directors of the Authority, the Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi on Thursday, 18th of January 2024, donated branded exercise books to 4 selected schools within the Bui Generating Station (BGS) enclave. The beneficiary schools are Bongase D/A Primary School, BPA D/A Primary School, Jama D/A Primary School, and Jama New Town D/A Primary School.
This initiative is slated to become an annual event, aiming to foster the development of reading and writing skills, as well as enhance the overall teaching and learning experience within the enclave’s schools. The total number of books donated was 1700 amongst the 4 schools.
Head Teachers and selected students from the recipient schools were present to receive this donation from the Authority’s leadership. During the event, the CEO highlighted the various forms of support the Authority extends to the communities within the Bui enclave, including the provision of a mini stadium, landing site, and the John Paintsil talent initiative.
Furthermore, the CEO reassured the communities of the Authority’s unwavering support. He emphasized the importance of peace within the communities and solicited their collaboration in safeguarding the Authority’s properties. The CEO specifically addressed concerns about bushfires, offering guidance on preventative measures and urging prompt action in the event of any fire threats.
The Headteacher of Jama New Town D/A Primary, Mr. Stephen Ali Alhassan on behalf of the schools expressed deep appreciation for the donation and assured all that they would put the books to good use.
