BPA Holds Mid-Year Retreat

Bui Power Authority (BPA) held a two-day management mid-year retreat at the Royal Senchi Hotel from July 9 to 10, 2024. The strategic gathering aimed to assess the Authority’s progress, recalibrate strategies, and reinforce its commitment to excellence in power generation.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Engineering, Operations, and Technical), Ing. Emmanuel Tandoh, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer welcomed management to the retreat and thanked them for their commitment and dedication to the Authority’s activities.

During the two-day retreat, management thoroughly evaluated the progress of programs and initiatives implemented in the first half of the year. The primary focus was on identifying any challenges that could potentially hinder the successful implementation of planned work. This included assessing resource allocation, reviewing project timelines, and addressing any operational obstacles that might impact the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the initiatives.

Departments presented their mid-year progress reports on work plans, budgets, and achievements to management. These presentations were reviewed, and lessons learned were shared.

Additionally, the team recommended changes to facilitate the execution of work plans, explore best practices for improving implementation, and evaluated the efficiency and effectiveness of the organizational structure.

Closing the retreat, Ing. Tandoh thanked the team for their presentations and insightful contributions over the two days. He reiterated the importance of aligning work plans with the core values of the Authority. He further encouraged the teams to share ideas aimed at enhancing programs and activities of the Authority.
