The Internal Audit Unit of the Bui Power Authority, headed by Ms. Victoria Tabbicca, has been adjudged as the Best Internal Audit Unit (State-Owned Enterprise) at the 2023 Annual Internal Audit Conference.
The Annual Internal Audit Conference, which was themed, “20 Years of Internal Audit Practice in Ghana: Achievements, Challenges, and Way Forward,” was organized by the Internal Audit Agency at the Auditorium of the University of Professional Studies (UPSA). The event portrayed the remarkable journey of internal audit practice in Ghana over the past two decades.
The IAA conference, held over a span of two days from September 14th to 15th, 2023, was attended by ministers, development partners, heads of institutions, stakeholders of the IAA and internal auditors from all sixteen regions of the country.
The Senior Presidential Special Advisor, Hon. Yaw Osafo-Maafo, who was the special guest of honor, congratulated all individuals and institutions who received awards. He expressed confidence in the ability of internal auditors and urged them to uphold fiscal discipline. He further charged internal auditors to continue providing unbiased and objective view, independent from the operations they evaluate and report to the highest level in the organization.
