BPA pays Courtesy Call on National House of Chiefs.

The Chief Executive Officer of Bui Power Authority (BPA), Hon. Ing. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi on Friday, April 5, 2024 led a delegation from the Authority to the National House of Chiefs in Kumasi.  The purpose of the visit was to brief the House about the operations of the Authority and its contributions to the energy industry especially renewable energy.

The meeting was chaired by the President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, known in private life as Francis Kwame Agyei who is Anwiasohene of Sefwi Anwiaso in the Western North Region of Ghana. He welcomed the BPA delegation and thanked the CEO of Bui Power Authority for calling on the house.

Presenting on the activities of BPA, Mr. Maxmillian Acquah, Director, PME, gave an overview of the Authority spanning its establishment, achievements, challenges, current activities, as well as future plans. This presentation was followed by a video documentary shedding more light on the Authority, its energy portfolio and CSR projects.”

At the end of the presentation, the CEO had the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session with the Chiefs on the Authority’s current energy generation portfolio, future generation and Corporate Social Responsibility amongst others.  


Hon. Ing. Dzamesi assured Nana President and the House that BPA maintains its dedication to working closely with them, whilst ensuring the Authority’s commitment to prioritizing environmental cleanliness and green initiatives for a healthier atmosphere.

As custom demands, the Authority presented items and a cash donation to the House.   The CEO was accompanied by Director ESD, Ing. Kwaku Akosa, Director Commercial Services Department, Mr. Pascal Kanbonabah, Director PME, Mr. Maxmillian Acquah, Deputy Director, Admin, Ms. Cherie Jacqueline Lawson, Manager, Corporate Affairs, Ms. Akua Sakyi, Board Secretary and Snr. Manager, Legal, Mr. Franklin Addai and Assist. Officer, Protocol and Events, Ms. Sharon Abigail Mensah.
