Bui Power Authority (BPA) has been adjudged the Energy Company of the Year (Power) for the year 2019 at the Ghana Energy Awards.
The event which was held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra brought together captains of industry in both the private and public sectors. The event honoured a former Volta River Authority Chief Executive Officer, Erasmus Alexander Kwabla Kalitsi with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his service to the energy industry.
Activities undertaken by the BPA in 2019 include the completion of the first micro hydro power plant at Tsatsadu in the Volta Region and the commencement of a 10MWp hydro-solar-hybrid plant at Bui in the Banda District.
