Bui Power Authority (BPA) on Friday, 23rd January 2026, held a graduation ceremony for participants of its Operations and Maintenance Training Program at the Bui Generating Station. The six-month programme forms part of BPA’s capacity-building strategy to strengthen technical competence and promote sustainable plant operations.


A total of 30 statf from the Power Operations Department successfully completed the training, which was implemented in collaboration with the Volta River Authority (VRA). The programme combined classroom instruction with hands-on practical training.
Delivering a speech on behalf of the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam, the Deputy CEO for Engineering, Operations & Technical, Ing. Samuel Nimako-Boateng expressed appreciation to the VRA Academy for its support and urged graduates to share their knowledge to promote operational excellence.


The Business and Commercial Manager at VRA, Rita Sosu encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to advance the BPA’s for organizational efficiency and national development.
