On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the Bui Power Authority had the honour of receiving the Board of the Water Resources Commission at the Bui Generating Station. The visit formed part of the Commission’s mandate to oversee Ghana’s water resources, with particular attention to the Black Volta River.

Discussions during the visit underscored the importance of continued collaboration in ensuring reliable energy production while safeguarding Ghana’s vital water bodies. The Board was taken on a guided tour of the generating station, where they visited the 5MWp floating solar facility and the Dam Crest to gain deeper insight into the Authority’s integrated operations.

The visit reaffirms our shared commitment to sustainable development and responsible environmental stewardship. Protecting the Black Volta River and ensuring sound water resource management remain critical to securing Ghana’s hydro energy future.
