Mrs. Fayah began her career in administration after earning a degree in Chemistry and a diploma in Education. As Administrative Manager at Electronic Supplies & Engineering Services Ltd (ES&ESL) in 1999, she played a key role in preventing a crisis caused by the unanticipated devaluation of the Ghanaian Cedi. She also managed Client Service and liaised with the company’s major supplier, Maplin UK, on price fluctuation issues.

In 2001, she saw the need to pursue further education in Business Administration due to her career path. In 2004, after obtaining an MBA (Finance) at the University of Ghana, Jemima worked for three years as a Research Assistant on an HIV Clinical Research Project (FHI) and was responsible for the welfare/safety and counselling of participants/volunteers on the research program.

In 2007, she Joined the inaugural team at the Microfinance and Small Loans Center, MASLOC as Executive Assistant to the Director, Finance and later became the Acting Head, Administration until her resignation in 2010.

Jemima Fayah joined Bui Power Authority in 2010 as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, and later joined the Finance Department (Treasury Unit) in 2011. Due to her commitment to tasks and her drive to achieve results, she was assigned in 2018 to establish an Internal Audit Unit within the Authority, in accordance with the Public Financial Management Act and other statutory requirements. She successfully led the Internal Audit team for sixteen (16) months to ensure its full establishment.

Her hard work and dedication led to her promotion to Finance Director and, currently, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Finance and Services. In this prestigious role, she oversees all financial aspects of the Authority, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic financial planning that drive the organization’s success.

Jemima Fayah is a Chartered Management Accountant, holds an MBA degree in Finance plus a BSc degree in Chemistry, and a certified Internal Auditor with over twenty (20) years’ experience in Research, Administration, Microfinance, Internal Audit and Financial control.

Jemima Fayah is a member, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
