Dr. Mrs. Rebecca ACQUAH-ARHIN

Dr. (Mrs.) Rebecca Acquaah-Arhin is a Medical Doctor, recognized for her expertise in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a fellow of both the West African College of Surgeons and the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. Alongside her medical qualifications, she has pursued further education, including an MBA in Entrepreneurship and various Leadership and Management Certifications from renowned institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley (USA) and Yorke University (Canada). Additionally, she holds a certification in Counselling from the Professional Institute of Counselling and Psychology in Ghana.
Currently, Dr. (Mrs.) Acquaah-Arhin holds the position of Senior Lecturer and Head of Department at the Family Health Medical School. She is also a Consultant Obstetrician Gynecologist and serves as the Medical Coordinator at the Family Health University College Hospital. Furthermore, she serves as the Chairperson of the Ethical Review Board of the Ensign College of Public Health/University of Utah.
Previously, Dr. (Mrs.) Acquaah-Arhin held various significant roles, including Consultant Obstetrician Gynecologist, Hospital Superintendent, and Medical Director of Health Services at the Volta River Authority. She also served as the Managing Director and Board Member of the Volta River Authority Health Services Limited.
Throughout her career, she has contributed her expertise to several healthcare institutions, including the Korlebu Teaching Hospital, Holy Trinity Medical Center, and C&J Medical Center. Dr. (Mrs.) Acquaah-Arhin has been actively involved in academia as a faculty member and trainer for the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. She has also served as a Consultant for the Ghana Health Services in the Eastern Region.
Her professional affiliations include Vice Presidency positions in the Ghana Association of Quasi Health Institutions and the Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians of Ghana. Additionally, she has made valuable contributions to the Akosombo Town Management for over ten years and has served on various committees.
Dr. (Mrs.) Rebecca Acquaah-Arhin was appointed a Board Member of Bui Power Authority by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 3rd September 2021.
