Nana Kwame Appia Kyei, also known as Nana Akyena Kwagyan Nuama V, is the Chief of Essuowin in the Ashanti Region and holds a senior position within the Kumasi Traditional Council. His educational background includes an MBA degree in Corporate Finance from the City University Business School in London, an MSc degree in Applied Geophysics from the University of Birmingham in the UK, and a BSc degree in Mining Engineering from Camborne School of Mines, also in the UK.

He has held various roles within the energy sector and served as a member of the Technical Subcommittee of the Ghana National Energy Board, an Executive Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), and a member of the Governing Board of the West Africa Pipeline Authority.

During his tenure at Tullow Ghana Limited, he served as the Director of Exploration, Appraisal, and Field Development for the Jubilee and TEN Fields. Additionally, he was also a member of Tullow Plc’s Global Exploration Leadership Team.

Presently, Nana Kwame Appia Kyei is the Director of Commercial and New Venture at Kosmos Energy Ghana.

Nana Kwame Appia Kyei was appointed a Board Member of Bui Power Authority by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 3rd September 2021.
